FAQ
Night Market
-
This market takes place in the evening, under the Harvest Moon. As an adult night market, the items and themes of this event will be primarily focused on adults, although some of our vendors may offer kid-friendly items. While all ages are allowed, we just request that parents are mindful that their children are under control at all times, as there will be fragile items on display. Some booths may display mature content, so it is up to the discretion of each person whether or not they would like to bring their children.
-
The market is free to attend, but if you would like to bring a donation to Agape House, they will be accepting donations of wishlist items (find the list on their website), along with monetary donations.
-
Follow our social media accounts to see when we are accepting vendor applications. Our events are juried, and we close applications after set dates. If you would like to be added to a waitlist, please let us know.
WE ARE AT CAPACITY FOR OUR SEPTEMBER 26, 2026 NIGHT MARKET AND ARE NOT ACCEPTING ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS
Art Nights
-
Art Nights are a fun-filled community night held at The Public in Steinbach. Drop in any time frm 7PM-10PM on the first Thursday of every month. Bring any art supplies or LEGO kits you’d like to work on, or use some from our Community Art Bin. We tend to just keep filling up tables as more people join. Chat with the people sitting beside you, share your art projects, or work in silence—it’s up to you. Art Nights are self-guided and there are no tutorials or requirements. Anyone, regardless of skill level or medium, is welcome to join.
Please remember to support The Public by purchasing a snack or beverage (non-alcoholic options available). They provide the space for free, and we want to show our appreciation.
-
Absolutely! Many members of our community do not consider themselves artistic, but still love to be part of art nights for the social aspect. Some folks bring adult colouring books or LEGO, others just join us and enjoy a drink while observing the art projects on the go.
Whether you’re working on a LEGO kit, painting, sketching, colouring, crafting, lino printing, or something else, we know you’ll have a great time.
-
No, The Public and our art and LEGO nights hosted there are free for all to attend. Other events hosted by Gather may have age restrictions, so please ensure you check the FAQs for the specific event you are looking to attend.
-
One of our key goals is to ensure every event we have is inclusive and accessible. As part of the Steinbach community, we want to ensure everyone feels safe and welcome. Discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. Gather supports inclusive and accessible businesses. Our Art Night venue, The Public, is a safe and accessible space. It is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible washroom. For any questions or concerns, please contact us.
-
Gather is a community project started by three local artisans—Darling and Demure (Abbi), Link and Spark (Tabitha), and The Merch Stand Co. (Tash). We saw a need for inclusive, welcoming and alternative events in the Steinbach area, and Gather was born.
We are the hosts of Art Night at The Public, and the hosts of other Gather events.
