Event Information

LOCATION:

The market is located inside the greenhouse. Food and drink specials will be available in the attached cafe.

LOAD IN:

Load-in opens at 2pm on Saturday, September 26. Vendors are invited to park in the Oakridge parking lot while they set up, but we ask that you move your vehicle (see Parking below) after setup is complete. We will have some staff and volunteers onsite to help with load in. Please check in at the Gather booth before setup.

PARKING:

Due to the great community response we have received, we are expecting a large turnout. We will be reserving the Oakridge parking lot for customers, but we have an agreement with the RM of Hanover to use their parking lot. This parking lot is just across Hwy 52. We ask that, after you have set up your booth, that you park your vehicle across the road in the Municipality parking lot. We will have a "shuttle" service to drive you back—volunteers who will bring you back to Oakridge. We ask that you do not walk across, as the highway can be busy and we want to ensure everyone's safety. At the end of the night, our volunteers will be there to bring you back across to the parking lot to fetch your vehicle.

SETUP AND TEARDOWN:

Please ensure your booth is set up and you are ready to take payment by 4:30. Setup is open at 2pm.

Early teardown is NOT permitted and may result in blacklisting from future events. We will have some volunteers on-site to help with teardown.

LIGHTING:
As noted, we will be in the greenhouse. The lighting inside is low—this is great for the overall vibe, BUT we strongly encourage that every vendor bring supplementary lighting for their table. Fairy lights, string or puck lights, or battery-powered lamps are good options. Remember to keep them battery-powered if you did not purchase an electrical booth.

BATHROOMS:

Oakridge's cafe will be open to serve food and drink, and there is both an accessible bathroom indoors, and a smaller stall as well. In the greenhouse (where the market takes place), there is an accessible washroom. This will be reserved for vendors with accessibility needs, as this will otherwise be reserved for our tattoo artist.

PROMOTIONS:

Our market has been featured in SteinbachOnline, and received quite a bit of attention on social media! Please keep tagging us in items you are creating for the market, accepting our collaboration requests on Instagram when your vendor spotlight is added, and telling your friends about our market.

A billboard went up at Deacon's Corner on September 3rd, and we have posters in Steinbach and nearby communities.

FAQ

WILL THERE BE WIFI?

There may be wifi from the cafe but due to the number of vendors and attendees, we cannot guarantee the strength of it. We encourage you to use data to power your payment readers for a consistent experience for our shoppers.

HOW ARE THE BOOTHS SET UP?

You will be in either a 10x10 space or 8x6 space, depending on your selection. You may use/fill your space however you like, but we allow NO encroachment on the aisles as the venue layout restricts us on spacing. If you have any concerns with your space upon arrival, please let us know.
